Pick 'n Save Review
Much like Albertson's and Meijer, Pick 'n Save is a grocery store that sells a handful of odds and ends on the side. Pick 'n Save was the first warehouse food store in Milwaukee when it first opened its doors in 1975. People were so enamored with the idea at the time that, on the store's opening day, police had to direct traffic due to the immense number of people that showed up. Pick 'n Save's first customers numbered in the thousands that day, necessitating the police presence. Although the store has its roots in Wisconsin, it also had stores in a handful of other states including Florida. There are more than 90 Pick 'n Save stores throughout the state of Wisconsin including in Milwaukee and Kenosha. Alongside their commercial endeavors, Pick 'n Save is actually quite philanthropic, having done several fundraisers and promotions to fight a variety of societal ills. Some of the causes they have supported and donated to include hunger relief, domestic violence victim assistance, literacy, and, most recently, fighting cancer. They have raised more than $4 million for such organizations and continue to raise more funds all the time. You can shop at Pick 'n Save knowing that your money is going to a number of great causes just like these.
Pick 'n Save mostly offers food products including its own Todd's BBQ in its Kenosha store. Todd's BBQ, a barbecue pit exclusive to Pick 'n Save, features barbecued beef brisket sandwiches, barbecue baked beans, and much more available either by the portion or pound. Interestingly, the meat at Todd's BBQ is usually served without any barbecue sauce, relying on their secret blend of spices and smoke for flavor. Barbecue sauce is still available if you prefer. The barbecue sauces used at Todd's BBQ are also available separately for those who want to make their barbecue their way. Alongside this, Pick 'n Save also offers a wide variety of fresh baked goods, custom cakes, flower arrangements and flower jewelry, a large variety of gluten-free products, fresh meat, more than 500 varieties of fresh produce, fresh local dairy and eggs, and even bulk food packages you would normally find in a wholesale club with a membership. Pick 'n Save stores also offer a catering service and have an in-store deli. Check with your local Pick 'n Save store for more information on pricing and availability.
One of Pick 'n Save's best products is its stellar produce. It is one of only 10 grocery store chains in the United States to win the highly coveted "Role Model Status" from the Produce for Better Health Foundation four years in a row. If that was not enough, most of Pick 'n Save's produce comes from local Wisconsin farms, meaning you're helping out your friends and neighbors when you shop at Pick 'n Save. In "Pick 'n Save "Local Producers" TV Commercial," you can see exactly where your produce comes from. On their website, you can find out in great detail what farmers provide the store chain with its produce as well as see where these farms are located. Pick 'n Save deals with more than 40 farms throughout Wisconsin to ensure you get the absolute best when it comes to produce.
