How to Redeem a Coupon Code at Clearme.com
Start by enrolling in Clear on the Clearme.com website. You will need to enter your name, e-mail address, physical address, phone number, gender and date of birth. The next page will ask for your payment information by credit card, which includes a spot to enter your promotion code.
Once your application is submitted, you'll be asked to go to a local airport to complete the registration process. You'll need to bring a U.S. Passport or U.S. Resident Card as well as a driver's license or military identification. During your in-person appointment, you will record your biometrics, which include your fingerprint and iris scan. Within a week, Clear will send you a membership access card, and you will be ready to use the airport kiosks to bypass those long identity verification lines at the airport.
Although the website does not have an outlet or clearance section per se, there are several ways you can obtain discounts. Those who carry Visa Signature cards are eligible for a free trial of Clear along with a discounted membership after the trial period.
In addition, Giving Assistant provides a whole host of discounts including free months, free gifts, and money off your membership. By using Giving Assistant, you can not only save money but help a worthy cause.
Clearme.com has a goal: to get you through the airport security lines more predictably, quickly and efficiently. As times have changed and airport security has increased as a result, long lines and increased passenger wait time have become a burden, especially on those who must travel regularly. Clear, along with TSA Pre-Check and Global Entry, are now offering services to help passengers move more quickly through the airport without compromising security for all.
Depending on the size and location of airports, some may have up to four different security lines to navigate before passengers can arrive at their departure gate. Clear is designed to help passengers through the first level of security, which basically is identity verification. Clear helps to ensure that you are actually who you say you are.
Before traveling, passengers can sign up to be a Clearme.com member online, pay a fee, and then go to a local airport to verify their identity and record a fingerprint or eye scan biometric. Any US citizen or permanent resident who is 18 years old or older can qualify as a Clear member by presenting either a valid United States Passport or United States issued Permanent Resident card as well as a United States driver's license or military identification.
Once the information is in the Clear system, passengers will receive a membership access card within one week and can simply go to kiosks in participating airports, scan their fingerprint or eye, and bypass the identity verification line. Once your identity has been cleared, a Clear employee will take you to the security screening line. Passengers who are cleared for TSA Pre-Check can move through this second security line quickly as well.
Originally, Clear was a company that was established in 2004. After 2010, it was acquired by brand new owners, and today, the company is trying again with a more conservative business plan.
Today, Clear operates in dozens of major airports around the country with additional locations planned into the future. Some advantages that Clearme.com has over TSA Pre-check include the fact that Clear members are never asked to use the standard line once they have been approved and can use the system in combination with any airline. All members are trained in how the kiosk system works so they can move through the system quickly and efficiently. In addition, since the Clear system is designed to only verify identity, individuals who may not be able to pass background checks for TSA Pre-check can still shorten their airport wait time.
Clear also makes no distinction between airlines or particular classes of passengers. Whether you are traveling in an economy seat or considered an elite or premium passenger, you can still save time by using the Clear system.
Enrolling in Clearme.com makes the most sense if the program is available in either your home airport or one that you must travel to regularly for business or pleasure. When you travel regularly, the long wait times through the various security lines can be unpredictable and burdensome. By becoming a Clearme.com member, you will be able to anticipate cutting a set amount of time off at least one of your security lines. Couple that will Global Entry and/or TSA Pre-check, and you can significantly speed up your regular travel time to your airline gate.
