iD Tech runs a series of educational programming for children. These programs are delivered at over 100 locations in the U.S. as well as one in the UK and a few in Asia. Classes focus on STEM education for people ages 7 through 19. Most of the courses are offered in the summer, such as those offered through the traditional iD Tech camp. At this camp, coding and programming are taught, and kids have the opportunity to select electives. There are other programs offered as well. For example, the Alexa Cafe program is offered to girls ages 10 to 15. Here, tech, activism, and entrepreneurship are discussed. Several programs are targeted towards teens. The iD Coding & Engineering and the Game Design & Development Academies are offered to kids starting at age 13; the AcademyNEXT program is available to teens ages 16 to 19. In these courses, more advanced topics are covered, and it can be helpful to have some background knowledge. Anyone wanting to boost their skills can sign up for online private lessons.
