The Walking Company Cash Back
Cash back is applied via a progressive, membership-based, multi-level rewards system. No purchases or membership is necessary to participate in the rewards program, but purchases are required to maintain membership level and earn or maintain points. Points are accumulative and can be earned through both online purchases and through merchandise purchased at one of the company's brick and mortar locations.
The ratio is a one reward point per one dollar spent at the basic free membership level. The reward increases to 1.1 point at the Plus membership level and 1.25 at the Elite membership level. For every 500 points accumulated, the member is awarded a $20 Rewards certificate to be used toward purchases. At 1,500 points, a free pair of shoes up to a $140 value is earned. Brand VIPs earn bonus points for buying specific brands. All points are added to the account electronically and applied after 30 days.

The Walking Company Review
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Chatsworth, California, The Walking Company, formerly known as the Walking Store, set out to become the world's premier purveyor of high-end comfort footwear and accessories. Company co-founder Jim Argyropoulos came up with the concept in the 1980s; the other founder is Steve Adler. The first physical location was opened in Pasadena, California the same year. After a reorganization in 2010, The Walking Company, along with active wear and accessories brand Big Dogs, became a subsidiary of The Walking Company Holdings, Inc. and expanded their reach.
The Walking Company's motto is "The Best Brands from Around the World®," and they go above and beyond to live up to that slogan by offering over than 2,000 styles from more than 50 top shoe manufacturers. The second part of their logo includes the words "Authentic Comfort®" due to their commitment to carrying shoes crafted by companies that take design, comfort, and function to a more evolved level.
Inventory is constantly updated to include current advances in footwear technology and is available online and in more than 200 locations across North America; their distribution center is located in Lincolnton, North Carolina. Along with their large selection of shoes from brands like Tara M., Umberto, and Birkenstock, The Walking Company showcases their own line of biomechanical footwear, ABEO, which was developed in 2010 with a line of sandals that featured orthotics. This division of the parent company has since expanded their line to include removable orthotics, athletic shoes, and casual footwear. ABEO opened its flagship store in Tysons Corner Center and a high-end mall in Tysons Corner, Virginia in 2015.
